2024 – Activity and Sustainability Report

OVERALL ASSESSMENT

Throughout 2024, Mavi took strong steps in sustainability, reaching total revenue of TRY 38.5 billion and gaining 1.5 million new customers. In TIME and Statista’s “Sustainable Growth” study, it ranked eighth worldwide and first in the fashion sector, earning recognition on a global scale. The brand sold 57 million products, with 27% of sales coming from its Better Cotton and All Blue collections. Environmentally friendly collections accounted for 58% of total denim revenue. Mavi also received the highest rating, a double A, in CDP’s Climate Change and Water Security reports.

According to İz Sür’s star system, Mavi received 4 out of 5 stars, placing it among brands that have integrated sustainability into their corporate culture. Sustainability is central to the brand’s strategy and is reflected across its operations. Public data is reported in detail and regularly; information that has undergone independent audits is presented transparently. International standards such as Better Cotton are widely applied across product groups. Practices are embedded at the strategic level and maintained systematically. Social and environmental projects—including the Indigo Turtles camp to protect sea turtles and scholarship programs for young people—are integrated into the company. Women make up 60% of the workforce and 50% of the board; equality and diversity policies are clearly stated. The company has set a Net Zero target and shares plans for emissions reductions over time. Reporting and measurement are supported by comprehensive independent verification. Although partnerships with NGOs and academia take place regularly, they remain mostly local and limited to individual examples. Social responsibility projects support its goals for societal transformation, but have not yet created broad global impact.

In conclusion, Mavi stands out as one of Türkiye’s leading brands in sustainability, presenting an exemplary corporate responsibility profile through systematic practices and transparent data sharing.
