OVERALL ASSESSMENT
Düzce University has a strategic vision for sustainability and is implementing institutional policies across environmental, social and economic dimensions in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Concrete steps have been taken across campus through zero-waste practices, renewable-energy investments and a Climate Action Plan. The gender-equality action plan and numerous NGO partnerships strengthen its sense of social responsibility. At the same time, transparently publishing a carbon-emissions inventory and annual reduction figures, introducing independent verification, and completing international certification processes are important gaps to address if the institution is to move into a higher tier of leadership.
